'Ygueule'
Gamay, Mondeuse & Chardonnay, Beaujolais, France
An everyday gourmet kinda red-white blend from the Bonnet-Cotton estate, full of berries and glee. Since 2014 winemaker Pierre Cotton has been delivering organic and minimal intervention Beaujolais, but it wasn’t until the addition of partner Marine Bonnet, an agronomist specialized in viticulture, that the winery took its final form in 2020. The young vines of earthy, floral gamay, berried and bitter mondeuse and citric chardonnay are whole bunch carbonically macerated to LIFT aromatics, then rested for seven months to really get to know each other. Knee-deep in blackberries, green pepper, saltine, vivid pomegranate & clasping tannins. FUN FACT! Ygueule is a medieval French term meaning something like to “gullet”. Enjoy out of red solo cups with an EXTRA saucy backyard BBQ to end all backyard barbecues.
