Like a freshie baby sibling to ‘Lucky You', this sauvy b is all about youthful bliss. Laurent Saillard is one of our favourite humans - an incredibly talented former chef come winemaker who cooks you dinner and waits ‘till midnight to wish you a happy birthday since you just happed to mention it over cheese. He’s all heart and perseverance and following the not-so-great 2021 harvest, 2022 was better, however quantities were still not huge, so he chose to continue this collaboration with a neighbour and buy a little more sauvignon blanc with a very similar terroir to his own. A direct press and aging in stainless steel make it easy to hold on to the pretty aromatics and bright starlight qualities of this stellar fruit. A field of baby’s breath, sun kissed yellow fruits on buttery, almond frangipane and salted pineapple juice over ice.
